no, reb. i was raised in an ill-planned village in western massachusetts.
but i was reading about reston last night online—its protective convenants; its four artificial lakes you're not permitted to swim in, lakes anne, thoreau, audubon, and newport.
it sounded like an invisible city, and i woke this morning longing for it.
but over the past few years the some of the "rules" have been broken and new parts of Reston don't abide by the planning -- there is some truly hideous million dollar condo sprawl. i guess that's what happens when the hippies that founded the place all retire and move away.
