There's really only one way: south on Highway 17 ("Blood Alley"). I think to get from the airport to 17 you have to go a little stretch on 101 (or is it 280?).
Clay I think there's some sort of airport shuttle? That I took once? Yes. That happened. It's only abt 40 minutes or so, but yes, through BLOOD ALLEY/the mountain homes of rich folks.
