5 Little-Known Things about Me
- The first poem I got published was in John M. Bennett's Lost & Found Times, which I didn't know at all, apart from its description and guidelines I'd read in Poet's Market. Don't do that. The issue arrived in the SASE I'd sent, with no note, and it took me about 20 minutes to figure out my poem was in it.
- I scored 1450 on the SAT, 800 verbal and 650 math. Maybe that's a boast, but I'm louche.
- I never finished a bachelor's degree.
- I served as an auditor in the United States
ArmyAir Force. I hated it. - I was born two months early and weighed four pounds and was christened immediately and got jaundice and pneumonia and lay in an isolette for a month with no visitors and didn't gain weight and made it.
6 RIDERS:
you made it!
You did better on the SAT than I did, preemie.
The only other time I've seen the word 'louche' is in a biography of Elizabeth Bowen. Way to score 800! I got 790 in verbal in the GRE.
hehe, i tagged you too smartypants..
dusie:
pardon my missing your tag.
truthfully, my intent disclosing was to confess i am an idiot.

Clay,
Auden was a month early, so I just doubled the stress to imagine what your parents must have gone through. Glad you're here! (I'm sure they are too.)
