ARIANA REINES<br />Thursday, 4/23 at 6:30pm<br />in the Maude Fife Room (315 Wheeler Hall)<br />ARIANA REINES is the author of The Cow, which won the Alberta Prize and was published by Fence in 2006, and Coeur de Lion, published byMal-O-Mar in 2007. Her TELEPHONE, a play inspired by Avital Ronell’s<br />The Telephone Book: Technology, Schizophrenia, Electric Speech,<br />commissioned by the Foundry Theatre, was performed at The Cherry Lane<br />Theatre in New York this past February. My Heart Laid Bare, her<br />translation of intimate writings by Charles Baudelaire, and Little Black<br />Book: Days and Nights of an Anarchist Whore, a translation of interviews<br />and documents of Grisélidis Réal, are both forthcoming in 2009, from<br />Mal-O-Mar and Semiotext(e), respectively.  She'll be performing in the<br />Works+Process series at the Guggenheim Museum in New York this fall.
