NOT FOR MOTHERS ONLY: CONTEMPORARY POEMS ON CHILD-GETTING AND CHILD-REARING
edited by Catherine Wagner and Rebecca Wolfe
By the early 00s both were new mothers, and newly aware of an interesting conundrum: poems about birth, babies, and children didn't seem to get as much cultural and literary play as poems about, say, mowing the lawn, or baseball, or romantic love.
I love that.

Poems by Mina Loy, Adrienne Rich, Jean Valentine, Caroline Knox, Anne Waldman, Maureen Owen, Wanda Coleman, Kathleen Fraser, Fanny Howe, Martha Ronk, Bernadette Mayer, Alice Notley, Maxine Chernoff, Alicia Ostriker, Rae Armantrout, Carolyn Forché, Ann Lauterbach, Brenda Hillman, Mei-Mei Berssenbrugge, Thylias Moss, Sharon Olds, Molly Peacock, Kimiko Hahn, Rachel Blau DuPlessis, Akilah Oliver, C.D. Wright, Cunningham Perry, Carla Harryman, Norma Cole, Annie Finch, Mairéad Byrne, Jean Donnelly, Gillian Conoley, Pam Rehm, Karena Youtz, Zhang Er, Claudia Keelan, Elizabeth Robinson, Larissa Szporluk, Julie Carr, Miranda Field, Hoa Nguyen, Deborah Landau, Sharon Harris, Kathleen Ossip, Laynie Browne, Leslie Bumstead, Olena Kalytiak-Davis, Kimberley Lyons, Susan Schultz, Rachel Zucker, Nicole Cooley, Martha Silano, Marie Howe, Beth Ann Fennelly, Elizabeth Treadwell, Lee Ann Brown, Caroline Crumpacker, Lisa Fishman, Jenny Browne, Susana Gardner, Margaret Christakos, Jennifer Michael-Hecht, Claudia Rankine, Arielle Greenberg, Lara Glenum, Susan Holbrook, Christine Hume, Eleni Sikelianos, Danielle Pafunda, Camille Guthrie, Stacy Doris, Amy Sara Carroll, Betsy Fagin, and Sasha Steensen.
