The store receives some books. One of them is called The Line and was written by Jennifer Moxley and published by the Post Apollo Press—but you can't see it unless you come into the store, because the Post Apollo Press hasn't added it to their website or anything. I bet SPD has it, if you live far away or can't get out of bed or something. If you can't, I hope you feel better.

Got a small crick in my shoulder. Listening to Larry Williams and waiting for my colleague to come in in another 15 minutes so I can get a coffee. Bought a book from somebody called YOUR FUTURE FACE. Woke again this morning with a swollen tongue. Five minutes ago thought I couldn't find my glasses, that I'd put them down someplace and forgotten; but it turns out I haven't even put them on yet this morning, and they're still in their case in my bag.
Somebody's just asked whether we have any books by Aldous Huxley or Timothy Leary.

I go to sleep so early, almost immediately, then I wake in the not-much-later night and I am pretty well shocked because my throat is killing me, my eyes ache, and I am really sick. As a smoker I never got sick. The last time I couldn't remember.
Sleeping I dreamt I started smoking again, fell off the wagon, failed. In real life this didn't happen.
I feel terrible!

Very big weekend of readings at Pegasus Books Downtown, I think. SIX POETS IN THREE DAYS, which is a good deal, especially as it's free. I've been slightly spacey but wondrously happy since I stopped smoking forever last week (barring um nothing basically) but maybe too spacey: so please help me put out word if you can about LISA FISHMAN & RICHARD MEIER Friday, LINH DINH & GRAHAM FOUST Saturday, & EVIE SHOCKLEY & BARBARA JANE REYES Sunday.
Because to tell you the truth I AM HAPPY BUT have been VERY SPACEY. Yes, THAT'S SHOWBIZ!

EVIE SHOCKLEY KICKS WIND. EVIE READS AT PEGASUS BOOKS WITH BARBARA JANE REYES NEXT SUNDAY, APRIL 15.
I am doing well. I am doing better. I am doing really okay but I don't want to spend more than three minutes on a computer lately, so things here will be whatever for whenever, but the thing between you and me is real and it is only growing stronger.

Then there was the genius who never learnt to tune his guitar or never knew his guitar was out of tune, because he was a genius. Pretty soon we were all deafening our tones.
Yesterday was whimsy and horror with electrified brass instruments. I'm making that up about the electrified brass instruments, because I crave attention. It was worth a train, a long walk, a walk up a hill and a very long wait. It was worth a standing wait in a corridor. It was worth our breathlessness. It was worth your breathing.
Your breath smelt good, and I said, "Your breath smells good."

I'm past the 50-hours mark on the post-nicotine thing.
That's about all I can think to say at the moment.
It's a shadowy figure with nice legs. Nice is
the wrong word now but it's all I can think of.
Woke up again last night every hour or whatever sweating. Must have been oftener than an hour. Sweat more streaming than the night before, pouring. I dreamt about Ivor Novello. No I did not.
